INTERNSHIP FILM FESTIVAL
All current internship students will be required to participate in the Annual AMES Internship Film Festival.
2018 Internship Fair will be held in May. The date will be announced at a later date.
REQUIREMENTS & EXPECTATIONS
1. Create a 2 - 3.5 minute film about your Internship or your chosen class-related topic.
What should be included:
i. Pictures: either photographs or electronic representation of the career area or video clips. For example, if you are in a classroom, photographs of your students will not be permitted, but you could have pictures of your mentor teacher, the outside of the school or your classroom. Or you could use clip art or pictures from their website. Make your video appealing so that students will want to come and talk to you about what you did.
ii. Text and/or narration:
1. What is the mission of the business/organization where you are an intern?
2. What have you done during your internship?
3. How has this experience helped the business/organization?
4. How has this experience helped you to decide about your future career?
5. What classes did you take at AMES/CHS to help you prepare for this experience?
6. Why would you suggest that another AMES student do this internship?
iii. Soundtrack/background music.
iv. Credits
1. Thank you's to
a. your mentor
b. placement organization/business
c. music and/or composer
d. anyone else who helped you
2. Be prepared to answer questions about your experience.
a. Ask your mentor if they would be interested in another intern next year.
b. Be positive and honest about what you liked and did not like.
3. Be a professional representative of your organization.
4. Remember this is a required, graded assignment for ALL internship students. It is the equivalent of a final exam.
Very Important!!! Submission date will be announced in class by Ms. Taylor. All films need to be peer edited and submitted prior to the date of the Film Festival to be reviewed and approved. If it is not approved, you may have limited time for editing, so be sure that your submission meets the requirements and is appropriate to be shown and possible posted on the AMES website.
